August is golf month! Many people do not know just how far back the game of golf goes. The earliest reference on record goes back to 1452 when King James the II of Scotland bans the sport (along with soccer) because it was taking his subjects away from their archery practice! The ban stayed in effect for 50 years until 1502 when King James the IV took up the game himself and lifted the ban. So get out enjoy the sun, friends and a great game of golf.
