Every year millions of people die from malaria, dengue fever and yellow fever origination from the bite of a mosquito. At the very least they leave an enormous annoying itch. Is there any redeeming reason for their existence?  Absolutely, mosquitoes are an extremely important niche in our ecological system. Albeit they are on the bottom of the food chain, they are still extremely valuable. They are the nutritious meals for our fish, birds, bats and spiders. They also provide a valuable lesson for all of us, that is, if we take the time look hard and deep enough we can surely find the good in everybody…..even the mosquitoes.
