November marks Peanut Butter Lover’s month, which is one of my favorite snacks!  In 1890, peanut butter was created as a healthy protein substitute that was easy to digest for people with no teeth.  Today more than half of the American peanut crop goes to making peanut butter.  During Peanut Butter Lover’s month, Americans will celebrate by eating more than 65 million pounds of peanut butter!  Some fun facts about peanut butter are:  It takes about 540 peanuts to make a 12-ounce jar of peanut butter, the world’s largest peanut butter factory churns out 250,000 jars of the tasty treat every day, four of the top 10 candy bars manufactured in the USA contain peanuts or peanut butter, and two peanut farmers have been elected president, which are Jimmy Carter and Thomas Jefferson.  To celebrate Peanut Butter Lover’s month, don’t forget to enjoy a nice peanut butter snack.  An enjoyable peanut butter snack may include celery with peanut butter or if you are looking for a sweet treat, you can never go wrong with a peanut butter cookie!
