Inscribed on the James Farley Post Office in New York City is the motto “"Neither snow, nor rain, nor heat, nor gloom of night, stays these couriers from the swift completion of their appointed rounds." Although these words were written over 2500 years ago, they still ring true today. For thousands of years our postal servants have battled the painful elements of dry heat and bitter cold days so our mail will arrive with invisible reliability and consistency. Today is National Postal Workers day, so when you see a postal employee, give them a great, big smile followed by a heartfelt thank you. I’m sure they've earned it.
