We recently updated our definitions regarding Homestyle Direct diet options and meal preferences. The Carb Controlled was specifically addressed based on the high number of members requesting more variety in that category. Please see below the updated information, which is also on the printed versions of the menu.

(LC) Low-Calorie meals are at or less than 500 calories. Dietitian suggested for weight management. 

(LF) Low-Fat meals are at or less than 16 grams of total fat or less than 5 grams of saturated fat.  Dietitian suggested for heart disease prevention or management.

(CC) Carb-Controlled meals are at or less than 55 grams of total carbohydrates. Dietitian suggested for pre-diabetes or diabetes management.

(GF) Gluten-Restricted meals are wheat free.  They are prepared in a commercial kitchen with a risk of gluten exposure.

(SC) Sodium-Controlled options are at or less than 750 mg of sodium.  Dietitian suggested for hypertension prevention or management. 

(R ) Renal meals are designed with a moderate restriction in sodium, potassium, and phosphorus. Dietitian suggested for members on renal diets. 

(KS) Kosher Style meals do not include pork, shellfish, or meat and dairy combinations. These meals are not Kosher certified.
